Widow raped in running train in Kaimur, police arrest 2 accused

Bhabhua : A case of outraging modesty of a widow in a running train between Din Dayal Upadhayaya-Gaya route on January 21, 2020,  evening, has come to light after the survivor instituted an FIR with the Government Rail Police (GRP) at Sasaram Railway station in Rohtas District in this connection. Police arrested two accused and sent them to jail.

The GRP brought the widow over to Sasaram Sadar Hospital for medical examination and also produced her before a Sasaram l Court to get her statement recorded under Section 164 of CrPC on January 22, 2020. The arrested miscreants were identified as Deepak Kumar Singh and Virendra Prakash Singh of Chaita locality under Kudra police station in Kaimur district.

Station House Officer, GRP, Sasaram, Ashok Kumar Singh, said that a 25 year old widow of a village under Bhabhua police station in Kaimur district was returning to her native village by the Intercity train from Gaya after getting herself medically examined. Two youth boarded the train at Kudra railway station and finding the widow all alone, they shut the doors of the bogie and outraged her modesty. They even videographed the act.
