Bhabhua : Sleuths of Forest & Environment Department have arrested a poacher along with 2 kg Venison, a countrymade gun, and an Axe from a preserved forest at village Dumrawa under Adhaura police station (PS) in Kaimur District in South Bihar though four other poachers escaped from there The Forest Department sent the seized Venison to Dehardun Forensic Science laboratory.

ASCF, Forest Department, Kamur, Raj Kumar, said that the department was tipped off that some poachers were smuggling Venison from a preserved forest area at Dumarawa village under Adhaura PS in Kaimur District. The officials of the Forest Department swung into action and conducted raid at the jungle at Dumrawa. Seeing the officials of the Forest Department, four smugglers escaped but one of them was arrested with 2kg of Venison, a countrymade gun,  and an axe. The arrested poacher was identified as Kanta Yadav  of Dumrawa village. Police are conducing raids to arrest his accomplices.

ASCF Raj Kumar said that the Venison was sent to Dehardoon and action would be taken after the report of WII arrives. He added that the smugglers used coded language but the officials decoded them and took action. He said that the arrested smuggler was sent to jail.
