Sitamarhi : Sitamarhi district magistrate Dr Ranjeet Kumar Singh in a surprise inspection on September 28, 2018, found six teachers of a Middle School absent from duty without any information while the headmasters of two schools were found chewing betel and tobacco.
The DM ordered for the suspension of all the eight teachers besides slapping a fine of Rs 500 each on both the headmasters: Shiv Shankar and Jai Kishore Singh for chewing betel during school hours.
The DM, on a surprise inspection, reached Middle School, Tikauli under Runnisaidpur block, where he found six teachers had not reported to work and the headmaster was sitting leisurely. The DM then visited Buniyadi School at village Tikauli. The attendance of students was thin and headmaster Jai Kishore Singh was enjoying betels and tobacco.
