Sitamarhi : A team of the Economic Offence Unit (EOU) from Patna on February 1, 2022, conducted raids at the official chamber and residence of Block Development Officer (BDO), Bajpatti, in Sitamarhi District in North Bihar, Sanjit Kumar.
The EOU team members remained tightlipped and didn’t disclose details of the raids but admitted simultaneous raidss were conducted a few places in connection with wrongfully amassing of huge wealth by him disproportionate to his known sources of income. The BDO could not be contacted as he was not present there. An FIR was lodged recently in this connection. The Bajpatti block headquarters is located 10 km east of Sitamarhi town.
Sources said that raids were also conducted at village Nanauri, Dhanarua, and Bairia, Sampatchak, Gopalpur in Patna district.
