Saharsa : Four armed criminals on August 5, 2017, assaulted two cattle traders: Mohd Lalo and Mohd Mashir, near Basantpur canal near a under Simribakhtiarpur police station in Saharsa district and looted Rs 20,600 cash from them.
Both the injured traders: Mohd Lalo and Mohd Mashir, were admitted to Sub-Divisional Hospital, Simribakhtiarpur. They are residents of village Bhaurha under Raipura Panchayat and had gone to Basantpur to purchase goatswhere two bike borne persons Anmol Yadav and Bijo Yadav accompanied by two more persons met them and said they too own goats.They asked the two cattle traders to see their goats. The two traders agreed to their propsal. When they reached near Basantpur canal, the four criminals suddenly took out their pistols and started looting cash from them and also assaulted them.
SHO, Simribakhtiarpur PS, Umashankar Kamat, said that police were investigating into the incident.
