Saharsa : Saharsa police on February 28, 2022, night, arrested a most wanted criminal Siddharth Kumar alias Piyush Hunter with 10,246 kg Ganja, 39 packet Smack, a loaded countrymade pistol, 5 live cartridges, and 4 mobe phones, during a vehicle checking drive near Kahra Jori pond under Sadar PS in Saharsa District in North Bihar. Police seized Piyush Hunter’s Safari car.
Giving this information on March 1, 2022, at a presser, DSP Sadar Santosh Kumar said that SHO, Sadar PS, Sudhakar Kumar on February 28, 2022, late night, received tip off that a man carrying huge quantity of Ganja was en route Saharsa via Bariyahi Bazaar. SHO Kumar with his team of officials including Tainee SI Chandrajit Kumar, ASI Mleshwar Prasad Yadav, and police force stopped the Safari car near Kahra Jori pond, searched it and seized huge quantity of Ganja and 39 packets of Smack kept in dicky. The SDPO said that the man sitting in the vehicle identified himself as Sidharth Kumar alias Piyush Kumar.
DSP Sadar Santosh Kumar said that for the first time in the district, 39 packets of Smack had been seized. He said police will soon find out from where it had been brought over and to whom it was to be delivered. The DSP said that Piyush Hunter figured among the top ten most wanted criminals of the district.
