Bike borne youth killed in Buxar accident

Buxar : A motorcycle borne youth was crushed to death while the pillion rider was seriously injured when a speeding Scorpio collided head-on with their motorcycle near village Lewad under Krishnabrahm police station on NH 84 in Buxar district on April 22, 2019, late evening.

Police brought the body over to Buxar Sadar Hospital for post-mortem and admitted the injured there. The Block Development Officer, Simari block, gave a cheque of Rs 20,000 to the family members of the deceased under the Family Benefit Scheme.

SHO, Krishnabrahm police station, Manoranjan Prasad Rai ,said that Abhishek Rai, 16, son of Umesh Rai, and Abhya Rai, 24, son of Ramjas Rai of Diyaman village under Kathar panchayat were going to  Dumraon on a motorcycle to purchase goods for a function at their home. When they reached near village Lewad station on NH-84, a speeding Scorpio collided head -on with their motorcycle killing Abhishek Rai on the spot while Abhay Rai was seriously injured.
