ADG, HQs, asks police officils to check sale of intoxicants

Sasaram: ADG, police headquarters, Sunil Kumar on Monday asked all the senior officials of Rohtas district through video conference to remain alert in checking liquor business and take stern action against the recalcitrant police officials. DIG, Shahabad range, Md Rahman, Rohtas SP M S Dhillon, Kaimur SP Harpreet Kaur, Rohtas ASP Sushant Saroj, SDPO, Sasaram, Alok Ranjan were present during the video conference.

The ADG said that the police HQ was receiving information that some people were returning to intoxication hence it was now necessary to be sensitive towards it. He directed the officials to implement the Excise Act strictly and check sale and purchase of intoxicants in their areas. He directed them to take action against the SHOs if intoxicants were being sold under their jurisdiction. The ADG asked them to look into the criminal history of liquor mafias and take action to seize their properties. He also directed them to take action against the police officials found lax in duty and also send lists of such police officials to the police HQs.
