Youth killed in Bhojpur accident

Ara : A motorcycle borne youth was killed after a speeding Bolero collided head-on with his bike near South of Gopi Brahmsthan on Shahpur-Bharauli main road under Shahpur police station in Bhojpur district on June 14, 2019, morning.

Police brought the body over to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. The deceased was identified as Bolbam, 18, son of late Lallan Prasad of Joda temple, Mansha Pandey Bagh, under Ara Town Police station.

SHO, Shahpur police station, Deep Narayan Singh said that Bolbam worked at the residence of Mukhia, Ishwarpur, under Karnamepur police outpost. He was coming to Ara on his motorcycle to meet his maternal aunt on June 14 morning. As he reached near Gopi Brahmsthan on Shahpur-Bharauli main road under Shahpur police station, a speeding Bolero collided head-on with his motorcycle and injuring him seriously. The locals rushed him to the Shahpur Referral Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries during treatment.

On getting information, police reached and seized the Bolero and the motorcycle. The driver of Bolero escaped from the scene leaving the vehicle behind. The SHO said that an FIR has been lodged by Shahpur police stationin this connection and police are conducting raids to arrest the driver.
