Sasaram : A vehicle carrying Block Development Officer (BDO), Dinara Block in Rohtas District in South Bihar, dashed a minor girl injuring her seriously on Dinara-Bikramganj State Highway on March 3, 2022. The BDO along with the driver and vehicle moved on leaving the place.
The injured was admitted to the local hospital but the doctor referred her to Varanasi, UP, in view of her precarious condition. The injured was identified as Palak Kumari, daughter of Akhilesh Kumar Singh of Dinara.
SHO, Dinara police station (PS), Roushan Kumar, said that Palak Kumari was returning home from her coaching on March 3, 2022, when care carrying the BDO, Dinara block, came and knocked the girl throwing her about 200 meter from the Dinara PS on Dinara-Bikramganj State Highway seriously injuring her. The BDO along with his driver and the vehicle escaped from the scene after the incident, he added
The SHO further said that police seized the vehicle of the BDO and added that the family members of the injured have not given an application in this regard so far. He added that police would initiate legal action after complaint was was received.
