Ara: Two persons including a minor boy were killed in separate incidents in Bhojpur district on Saturday evening. A ten year old boy Lakshan Kumar, son of Chandrashekhar Mahto, was crushed to death by a speeding tractor at village Baruhi under Sahar police station on Saturday evening when he was returning from school.
Angry villagers blocked the Ara-Sahar main road with the body and raised slogans against district administration. They were demanding compensation to the family of the deceased. The blockade was lifted after the Sahar BDO assured to give Rs 3,000 under Kabir Antyesti Yojana and Rs 20,000 under Family Security Scheme. The post-mortem of body was done on Sunday morning.
In another incident, a retired army man Bhola Yadav was killed and five others injured when a speeding three- wheeler overturned into a ditch near Badakagaon-Pakariyabar village under Gajrajganj police outpost on Ara-Buxar NH 84 on Saturday. SHO Gajrajganj police outpost said that the three wheeler was coming to Ara from Dhamar under Ara Muffassil police station on Saturday. When the vehicle reached near Badakagaon-Pakariyabar village, the driver lost control over the vehicle and it fell into a ditch.
