Ara : Modesty of a minor girl, a student of Class VII, was outraged at a village under Ara Muffasil police station (PS) in Bhojpur District in South Bihar, on March 2, 2022, night, on the roof of her house at pistol point.
A named FIR was lodged with Women’s PS, Ara, against one Bittu Rajak of the village in this connection. Police swung into action and arrested the named accused and sent him to jail after interrogation.
SHO, Women’s PS, Ara, said that the girl was sleeping with her mother at her house when Bittu Rajak jumped off the boundary of her house and took her to the roof of her house at pistol point and outraged her modesty there. When she raised an alarm, he escaped from the scene. The girl narrated her ordeal and her family members rushed to Women’s PS, Ara, and lodged a named FIR against Bittu Rajak.
Police brought the girl over to Ara Sadar Hospital for medical examination and will produce her before an Ara court to get her statement recorded.
