Trader foils robbery bid by 4 criminals in Sitamarhi

Sitamarhi : Four unidentified armed criminals riding two bikes attacked a mobile phone shop at Sonbarsa block headquarters in Sitamarhi district on January 4, 2018. They wanted to loot the cash box but shop owner Mithilesh Kumar resisted them and snatched a countrymade pistol from the hand of one of the criminals. Mithilesh trained the pistol towards criminals and the locals also rushed to help him forcing them to flee the scene.

When the criminals were escaping one of their bikes fell down and could not start. Three criminals fled away on one bike whereas the fourth ran away from there. SHO, Sonbarsa police station, Pramaod Kumar Paswan, said that raids were on to arrest the four criminals. The police are ascertaining the ownership the bike left behind by the criminals.
