Ara : Bhojpur police sent a raped victim to a Remand Home at Gayghat, Patna, on October 14, 2017,  morning as she could not give exact location of her house even after a week of the incident. Till October 13, she was kept at the short staye home on K G Road under Nawada police station, Ara.

SHO, Woman Police Station, Poonam Kumari said that Buxar police had recovered a 18 year old woman loitering on the streets unattended on October 6, 2017. Police brought her to Buxar Woman police station where the woman said that a youth Sonu Kumar brought her to Ara on the pretext to take her to Chandawa, Ara, to attend the Mahayajnagya but he along with his three friends gangraped her and later left her on the road in Buxar.

Buxar police sent her to  Ara and an FIR was lodged with Ara Woman police station on the statement of the woman. Her medical examination was done at Ara Sadar Hospital. Police kept her at the short stay home for about a week but finally sent her to Remand Home, Gaighat, Patna. The SHO said she tried to trace  her family but the woman could not give the exact location of her home and so  police could not find her house.
