Police conduct raid at medicine factory in Rohtas, seize fake herbal medicine

Sasaram : Police, on a tip off, conducted raid at a medicine factory at Western Mohan Bigaha area under Dehri-on-Sone police station in Rohtas district on March 29, 2019, night, and seized herbal medicines in large quantity, packing machine, bottles, raw materials and wrappers though the owner of the factory and its employees escaped from there.

SHO, Dehri-on-Sone, Kamakhya Narayan Singh, said that Managing Director, Brand Production Services Private Limited, Mustafa Hussain, had lodged an FIR against the medicine factory charging it with manufacturing and selling fake medicine in the name of his company. He said that Ramesh Kumar manufactured medicine at his home and sold them as products of the name of Brand Production Services Private Limited in the open market.

The SHO said that police seized herbal medicine of several big brands worth about Rs 15 lakh. He said that the samples of the seized medicine had been sent to the expert to ascertain s whether the medicine were spurious or not.
