Sasaram : Fast Track Court II, Sasaram Civil Court, Judge, Ravindra Mani Tripathi, on April 3, 2019, sentenced to rigorous life imprisonment five persons for kidnapping for random Valmiki, son of Ambiuka Singh of village Dhodiha under Nasariganj police station in Rohtas district.

The court sentenced to rigorous life imprisonment Dadan Disadh of Baligaw, Hari Kahar of Baruna, Kapil Singh of Hussainabad, Anil Tiwari of Bisenikala under Rajpur police station, and Baban Kahar of Dhobdiha under Nasariganj police station in Rohtas district in the case. The court, however, acquitted Jokhan Sah of Barao under Nasarignaj police station for want of evidence.

Valmiki, son of Ambika Singh of village Dhobdiha, had gone for fishing at village Maudadih around 8pm on September 21, 1996. Around midnight the same night, some persons carrying firearms and traditional weapons kidnapped Valmiki and went towards Dhobadih bridge. On information, Ambika Singh along with other family members chased the miscreants to Loharadih, Bisehikala, and Baligaw village but in vain. Later, Ambika Singh lodged an FIR with Nasasriganj police station in this regard.

After hearing both the parties, the FTC II Judge Ravindra Mani Tripathi awarded the rigorous life imprisonment to five persons.
