Police attach property of accused in Rajendra Tatwa murder case

Ara : Bhojpur police attached the properties of a key accused in Rajendra Tatwa murder case Brajesh Rai at village Ramdatahi village under Karnamepur Police Outpost on January 23, 2018. Rajendra Tatwa killed in September 2017.

The court had issued warrant of property attachment of Brajesh Rai and Rameshwar Rai of village Ramdatahi on January 18, 2017, in connection with murder of Rajendra Tatwa over a piece of government land. Five persons including Brajesh Rai and Rameshwar Rai were made named accused in the case and police had arrested three of them but Brajesh Rai and Rameshwar Rai were absconding. The three arrested named accused are at present on bail. After that the police and the Investigation Officer (IO) Shambhu Singhu was inactive.

Meanwhile, some miscreants killed  newspaper hawker Yogendra Tatwa, cousin of Rajendra Tatwa, on January 17, 2018, when he was going to distribute papers in the morning. Police once again became active and requested the court on January 17, 2018, to issue warrant of property attachment of the absconding accused in Rajendra Tatwa murder case. The court accepting the police request issued warrant of property attachment on January 18, 2018. Police attached the property of Brajesh Rai but not that of Rameshwar Rai as he had already surrendered before the court on January 20, 2018, and  was sent  to jail under judicial custody.

Police have requested the court to issue warrant of property attachment against all the four named accused in the murder of Yogendra Tatwa.
