Ara : Police, on a tip off, arrested two miscreants from near village Sundarpur under Sandesh police station in Bhojpur district around 10pm on March 8, 2019, along with a countrymade pistol and three live cartridges in connection with arms loot and murder cases.
The arrested miscreants were identified as Nagesh Yadav of village Rampur under Chandi police station and Shivratan Singh of village Raghunipur under Udwantnagar police station. Later, police sent them to jail after interrogation.
SHO, Sandesh police station, Sudeh Kumar, said that Nagesh Yadav was one of the main accused in snatching of gold jewellery from a jeweller Ashok Soni after firing on him at Kori Bazaar. Shivratan Singh was also wanted in a number of loot, murder and snatching cases. Both the miscreants confessed their involvements in criminal cases during interrogation.
Police also arrested Mantu Singh along with a countrymade pistol from village Baligaon under Ayar police station on March 9, 2019, when he had come to his in-laws’ place there. Mantu Singh is a resident of Gopalganj.
