Muzaffarpur residents sore with MMC functioning

Muzaffarpur: Resentment prevails among the residents of Muzaffarpur town against the functioning of  Muzaffarpur (MMC) as heap of garbage is lying almost everywhere under its jurisdiction while drains are choked. Muzaffarpur DM Dharmendra Singh admits the MMC needs to be proactive as far cleanliness in the town goes.

Nagrik Morcha staged demonstration at Kalyani Chowk on Thursday demanding of the MMC to undertake cleanliness drive before Chhath festival. Sore with the functioning of the MMC many people have started calling it `Narak Nigam’. Nagrik Morcha convenor Mohan Prasad said that even during the recent Durga Puja the situation was similar. Commissioner, Tirhut division, Atul Prasad, Muzaffarpur DM Dharmendra Singh and SSP Vivek Kumar have initiated measures to ensure the town remains clean during Chhath.
