Muzaffarpur:  At least 7 persons were killed while 7 labourers sustained serious burn injuries in a boiler blast at a private food
manufacturing (Noodles) factory in Bela Industrial Area  under Bela police station (PS) in Muzaffarpur District in North Bihar town on December 26, 2021, morning.

The state government has ordered an inquiry into the incident. A probe team will reach Muzaffarpur at the earliest in this connection.The government has announced an ex-gratia of Rs 4 lakh each to the next of kin of the deceased. Bihar CM Nitish Kumar has expressed his shock over the incident.

Muzaffarpur DM Pranav Kumar said  that 7 persons died after a boiler exploded at Noodles making factory at Bela. Identity of the deceased bodies was being being ascertained as bodies were charred badly. Muzaffarpur SSP Jayant Kant said that SDRF and police teams have recovered 7 charred  bodies from debris while injured were admitted to Sri Krishna Medical College and Hospital (SKMCH), Muzaffarpur, for treatment . A case has been  lodged against the factory owner and persons responsible for the explosion.

According to police , the injured were  identified as Vishal  and Om Prakash of Narkatiyaganj, Vivek Kumar of Madhubani,
Satyam Kumar of Sheohar, and Sanjeev Kumar, Mahadev, and Kundan  of Madhubani Ddistrict .
