Bhabhua : Kaimur police recovered body of a youth floating in river Karmanasa near Mahavirsthan Bazaar in Buxar district on August 1, 2017, morning. The deceased was identified as Asgar Khan who was kidnapped from village Akhini under Nuaon police station in Kaimur district on July 29, 2017.
A named FIR was lodged with Nuaon police station against Naushad alias Sonu Khan but police have failed to arrest him so far. Love affair is said to be the cause behind the incident. Kaimur SP Harpreet Kaur said that Naushad alias Sonu Khan came to his neighbour Asgar Khan in the evening on July 29 and took him to a tea stall at Tajpur Kurra on his ( Asgar’s) motorcycle. At about 7.30 pm, Sonu Khan returned on the motorcycle and when Asgar Khan’s mother Mozubun Nisha queried about her son, Sonu said that he was attending call of nature on the bank of a river and will return very soon.
When Asgar Khan did not return till late night, his family members along with Sonu Khan went to the river to search him but failed to locate him though they found his mobile in a garden. In the meantime, Sonu Khan escaped from the scene. The SP said that police were conducting raids to arrest Sonu Khan and after his arrest the reason behind the murder would be known.
