Ara: Narain Yadav, 55, a milkman, was shot dead at village Hariharpur under Shahpur police station in Bhojpur district on Friday  afternoon. Angry villager blocked Ara-Buxar main road near Hariharpur for about seven hours with the body of the deceased and demanded immediate arrest of the culprits.

The blockade was lifted in the late evening after police arrested two persons:  Ramesh Singh and Birendra Singh, in this regard and also recovered the pistol used in the murder. Later, police brought the body to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. A named FIR has been lodged with Shahpur police station on the statement of the son of the deceased Kamlesh Yadav against Akhil Singh alias Akhilesh Singh, Ramesh Singh and Birendra Singh. The deceased was identified as Narain Yadav, son of Sri Yadav.

The SHO Shahpur police station said that Narain Yadav of Barisawan village under Shahpur police station was going to Hariharpur with milk but some musclemen of the village prevented him from passing through the road and when he requested them to allow him to pass through the road, the miscreants shot him dead. The SHO said that that Narain Yadav and Ramesh Singh had dispute over passage. Ramesh Singh always forbade Narain Yadav from passing  through his private land.
