Man killed by younger brother, nephews in land dispute in Saharsa

Saharsa : Rajendra Sharma, a farmer and resident of Kumedan Tola under Simribakhtiarpur police station in Saharsa district, was allegedly killed by his younger brother Ram Prasad Sharma and nephews in a violent land dispute on June 18, 2017, night.

Ajit Sharma, son of Rajendra Sharma, said that his father and uncle Ram Prasad Sharma had property dispute for past 18 months which took a violent turn on June 18 when his father objected to construction of a nine feet wall on a disputed portion of land by his brother Ram Prasad Sharma and his family members.

Ajit alleged that his uncle and his sons hit Rajendra Sharma with sticks and spade killing him on the spot. Police have registered an FIR on the statements of family members of the deceased. SHO, Simribakhtiarpur police station, said that police were conducting raids to arrest the accused.
