Saharsa : Kalyan Kumar, a book-seller at Saur Bazaar in Saharsa district, was shot and injured at 11 pm on June 17, 2017, night, by two unidentified criminals soon after he crossed Baijnathpur bypass road.
Kalyan, son of Lakhan Yadav, was returning to his North Matsyagandha area residence at Saharsa by his scooty after closing his book-shop when two persons asked him to stop as he cross Baijnathpur bypass road. Intially Kalyan thought to stop but after seeing firearms in their hands, he decided against it and sped up. This angered the two criminals and they fired on him and escaped. An injured Kalyan was admitted to Gayatree Nursing Home, Saharsa, by Baijnathpur police outpost team and villagers. Police are conducting raids to arrest the two criminals.
