Criminal arrested with pistol at Saharsa village

Saharsa : Police arrested a criminal Pawan Thakur, son of Sudhakar Thakur, with a loaded pistol from village Simraha under Patarghat police outpost in Saharsa district on June 21, 2017, evening when he and his two associates were allegedly planning to the murder of another criminal Pintu. But, the other two criminals escaped on a bike seeing police making queries to Pawan, who was standing beside a betel shop.

An ASI of Patarghat police outpost Harishankar Chaudhary said he suspected the activities of Pawan and during search a loaded pistol was found fitted on his waist after which he was arrested. Pawan tried to mislead the cop by telling him that two unidentified criminals had brought him over to Patarghat at gun point. SHO, Patarghat police outpost, Kamlesh Kumar, said that Pawan would be interrogated.
