Ara : Neeraj Kumar Yadav, 22, a Khalasi and son of Krishna Yadav of village Kodara under Mairwa police station in Siwan district, was killed while driver Subodh Rai of village Pahleza under Sonpur police station in Saran district was injured when two heavy vehicles collied near Babura bridge on Ara-Chhapra main road under Barhara police station in Bhojpur district on April 4, 2019, night.
Police brought the body over to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. Police also admitted the injured driver there but the doctor referred him to Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) due to his critical condition. Driver and Khalasi of another vehicle escaped from the scene leaving the vehicle behind. Police seized both the vehicles.
SHO, Barhara police station, Prashant Kumar said that an Ara bound heavy vehicle coming from Chhapra dashed from behind another heavy vehicle near Babura village on Ara-Chhapra main road on April 4 night killing the Khalasi on the spot and injuring the driver seriously.
