Janata Navami celebrated in Sitamarhi

Sitamarhi : Janaki Navami ( birthday of Goddess Sita) was celebrated on May 13, 2019, at Sitamarhi with religious fervour  amidst chanting of Vedic hymes. During ancient period, Mithila king Janak ploughed the field near Punaura Janaki temple. Goddess Janaki came out from an earthen ware. Main functions were held at Sitamarhi town Janki temple and at village Punaura. Religious discourses by renowned saints and preachers were major attractions among the people at Punaura Dham.
