Ara : Jan Adhikar Party (L) activists led by their Bhojpur district president, Brajesh Kumar Singh on August 1, 2019, burnt effigies of PM Narendra Modi and UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on the campus of Ara Railway Station to protest Unnav rape incident.
Brajesh Kumar Singh said that the survivor to pay with the lives of some of her family members for raising voice against her tormentor, a BJP MLA from Unnav Kuldeep Singh Sengar. Even she and her advocate were injured and the entire family is living under constant fear. He said that Kuldeep Singh Sengar, the BJP MLA from Unnav, allregedly outraged modesty of a teenage girl of his area and when she raised her voice for justice, his and his goons called her father to the police station and thrashed and killed him. They also threatened her family members with dire consequences if she did not shut her mouth but the Uttar Pradesh administration remained mute despite written complaint in this regard.
Raghupati Yadav, Bhojpur district president of youth wing of Jan Adhikar Party, said that anarchy prevails in the whole country ever since Narendra Modi government came to power at the centre.
