Patna : Union Animal Husbandry, Dairy, and Fisheries Minister and firebrand senior BJP leader Giriraj Singh has lashed out at Bihar CM Nitish Kumar over waterlogging in Patna following torrential rains last week. Giriraj on October 4, 2019, said CM Nitish Kumar must take responsibility for the problems facing the people.
” Tali Sardar ko to Gali Sardar ko (If a leader takes credit, he must also accept criticism),” Giriraj said when asked whether Nitish Kumar should take responsibility for the situation in Patna and elsewhere in Bihar. It may be mentioned here that many parts of Patna including Kankerbagh, Rajendra Nagar, Ashiananagar, Pataliputra Colony, New Patliputra Colony, Rajivnagar, Gosain Tola, remain waterlogged for the past one week. The state capital witnessed unprecedented rainfall between September 27 and 29.
BJP MP from Begusarain in North Bihar Griraj Singh also criticised Senior BJP leader and Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi saying, “If Sushil Modi is our leader and all credit is given to him in the party, he should also own the criticism.” He said the wyavastha (dispensation) is responsible for the problems facing the people. He apologised to the people of Patna for the problems and difficulties they were facing and said action must be taken against those responsible for it.
“It is unfortunate that instead of ordering a probe into role of officials, our own minister stands in their support,” Giriraj said.
