Ara : Bharat Bandh  called by all the left parties and supported by the RJD, Congress, AAP and others evoked mixed response in Bhojpur District on September 27, 2021, amidst tight security arrangements. The bandh supporters took out processions from different places in the district and blocked roads and paralysed movement of vehicles for three to four hours. The bandh was called in protest against the three agriculture laws, electric bill, and others.

At Ara,the Headquarters of Bhojpur District, hundreds of activists of the CPI (ML) led by Agiaw MLA Manjeel and Tarari MLA Sudama Prasad took out procession from their office and blocked the Patel Bus Stand on Ara-Patna NH-30 paralysing movement of vehicles. They burnt tyres on road and raised slogans against the State and Central governments for their alleged anti-people policies. Raju Yadav, Quyamuddin Ansari, Sabir Kumar, Shiv Prakash Ranjan, Raghubir Paswan, Neelam Kuer, Shobha Devi, Vikas Kumar, Sushil Kumar Yadav, Chhait Ram. Jitan Chaudhary, Ruchi Priya, Shivmangal Yadav, Rajnath Ram, Niranjan Kesari, Ajay Kumar Gandhi and others were present on the occasion.

The bandh supporters also blocked Ara-Patna main road near Giddha, Ara-Arwal main road, Ara-Sasaram main roat at Piro, Ara-Mohania main road at Nayaka Tola Mor, Jagdishpur.

Speaking on the occasion, Sudama Prasad said that the Nitish Government in Bihar as well as the Narendra Modi government at the Centre were responsible for the plight of the people. He said that Nitish Kumar and Narendra Modi are responsible for unprecedented price rise of essential commodities, black agriculture laws, privatisations, and deteriorating law and order.
