E Champaran DM recommends action against Raxaul Excise Inspector

Motihari: East Champaran DM Anupam Kumar has recommended for stern action against Sagir Khan, Excise Inspector,
Raxaul for his unsatisfactory action in implementing the complete prohibition. He was reviewing the progress in implementation of prohibition in the district at a meeting of excise officials. Taking strong exception to alleged
smuggling of Nepali liquor from across the border, the DM directed the excise officials to keep vigil on border and conduct regular raids. Every person crossing the border should be checked, he said.
On Friday, two persons riding bikes were arrested by Dhaka police with 20 bottles of Nepali liquor near Phulwariya. They were sent to jail. The police also arrested three persons with liquor at Raxaul and Harsiddhi in East Champaran district.
