Bhabhua : Chairperson, Mohania Nagar Panchayat in Kaimur district, Raj Kumar Prasad, was on May 28, 2019, threatened  with dire consequence if he does not resign from his post immediately. An FIR was lodged by Mohania police station on May 29 against four persons including one named on the statement of Chairman, Mohania Nagar Panchayat, Raj Kumar Prasad, and police are investigating into the matter.

SHO, Mohania police station, said that Raj Kumar Prasad, Chairman, Mohania Nagar Panchayat, was going to a tea-stall to take tea on May 28, 2019, when some persons intercepted him and threatened him with dire consequences if he does not resign from his post..

Raj Kumar Prasad said that he was going towards station to take tea when Munna Ansari, son of Meerajan Ansari of Ward No 10, Mohania Nagar Panchayat, along with four unknown persons came and asked him to resign from his post failing which he would be killed.

Executive Officer, Mohania Nagar Panchayat, Sanjay Upadhyaya, took cognizance of the incident and informed the senior officials of the district requesting them to take immediate action in this regard. Raj Kumar Prasad is an old person.
