Bhabhua : Kaimur police, on a tip off, arrested notorious criminal Chhote Lal Bind on the outskirts of village Ishiya under Chainpur police station on May 5, 2019, late evening, in connection with murder of farmer Satyendra Kumar Singh of the village. He was sent to jail after interrogation. Police seized a countrymade pistol and 11 live cartridges from his possession.
Chhote Lal Bind was absconding in at least half a dozen criminal cases including loot, murder, dacoity, and ransom lodged against him with different police stations.
Kaimur SP Dilnawaz Ahmad said that Chhote Lal Bind of village Mamhan under Bhabhua police station had killed a farmer Satyendra Kumar Singh of village Ishiya on March 14, 2019, and a named FIR was lodged with Chainpur police station against him. The SP said that after the incident, he formed a police team under DSP Ajay Prasad. During investigating, it came to light that Chhote Lal Bind and his two associates Mahendra Ram and Bihari Bind had cooked fish for themselves at Ishiya village on March 14, 2019, and when farmer Satyendra Kumar Singh of that village was returning home after watering his field in the late evening, the three miscreants shot him dead.
The SP said that Satyendra Kumar Singh had given Chhote Lal Bind a piece of his land for cultivation on share basis. But, Chhote Lal Bind did not give the share of yield to him and so Satyendra Kumar Singh took away the land from Chhote Lal Bind and himself cultivated it this year. But, Chhote Lal Bind with the help of his Mahendra Ram and Bihar Bind harvested the crop that led to heated caused between the two. Finally, Chhote Lal Bind and accomplices shot dead Satyendra Kumar Singh, the SP added.
The SP said that during interrogation, Chhote Lal Bind confessed that he had joined the gang of dreaded criminal Jawahar Bind and committed crimes with him including loot, dacoities and kidnapping. The SP said that Chhote Lal Bind and Jawahar Bind had kidnapped a person from Raziabandh under Mohania police station and realized Rs 3.60 lakh as ransom from his family. Chhote Lal Bind had also looted a paddy laden tractor and kidnapped a person from Chand police station but police arrested him both the time with the looted tractor, paddy and also seized a pistol from his possession.
He said that at least half a dozen cases are pending against Chhote Lal Bind with Mohania, Chand, Chainpur, Bhagwanpur, and Bhabhua police station.
