Ara : Elaborate arrangements have been made by Bhojpur district administration for the ‘Human Chain’ formation proposed on January 21, 2018, across the state for eradication of dowry and prevention of child marriage.
Bhojpur DM Sanjeev Kumar on January 17, 2018, said that at least 15 lakh students and others will take part in the ‘Human Chain’ and directed all the officials to coordinate with the office bearers of the Red Cross Society, Rotary Club, representatives of the Panchayats, political parties, Principals of the Private Schools, mediapersons for the success of the Human Chain.
The DM directed the officials concerned to maintain law and order, regulate traffic, make drop gates, depute employees and officials at different points on the day. The DM held a meeting with all the officials of Bhojpur district and directed the Civil Surgeon to arrange for ambulance in sufficient numbers and depute private and government doctors to different places. He said that make shift urinals will be set up en route. Bhojpur SP Awakash Kumar said that regulating traffic will be a challenge and will require special attention.
The DM appealed the residents of Bhojpur district to participate in the Human Chain in large number for eradication of social evils like child marriage and dowry.
Deputy Director, education department, has ordered that all the Primary, Middle and High schools will remain open in the morning on January 21, 2018. He also directed that the teachers and employees of the schools to take part in the Human Chain along with their students and they will be responsible for their safe return to their homes. Midday meal will be prepared on January 21 in the middle schools. The teachers of the primary schools will take part in the human chain along with the guardians though students from Class 1 to Class V have been exempted from taking part in the human chain and they will not come to schools on January 21, 2018.
