Sitamarhi: An SSB Basbitta camp patrolling team in Sitamarhi district under the leadership of Inspector Shiv Ram Krishnan seized 91 cartons of Nepali liquor and an SUV and arrested two persons near Indo– Nepal border pillar 337/40 on November 13, 2017.
Liquor smuggler Navin Kumar Yadav and driver Ramesh Paswan were coming from Nepal on an SUV laden with liquor but were challenged by the patrolling party and arrested. A few smugglers fled away on seeing the SSB team. The arrested persons were handed over to Majorganj police station in Sitamarhi district. Navin is a resident of village Bagahidham whereas Ramesh belongs to village Ranjitpur. Police are looking for their other accomplices.
