Bagaha : Police seized 228 cartons of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) and arrested 5 liquor smugglers on October 3, 2018, during raids conducted at different places under Kalibag and Manuapul Police Outposts in West Champaran district. SP, West Champaran, Jayant Kant, on a secret information, had formed two separate police teams on October 3 to arrest the liquor smugglers.
The five arrested liquor smugglers were identified as Yogendra Yadav, Rupesh Yadav, Bikku Yadav, Deonath Yadav, and Chandrika Yadav. A Honda car and two motorbikes, which were being used for liquor transportation, were also seized during the raids. The arrested smugglers have been sent to Bettiah district jail, said SDPO, Bettiah, Pankaj Kmar Rawat, on October 5.
