Yuva RJD workers protest multi-crore Srijan scam

Patna : Police resorted to mild lathicharege on Yuva RJD workers protesting the multi-crore Srijan scan in Bhagalpur district when tried to march to Raj Bahavn on October 12, 2017. The Yuva RJD workers had organised the protest at Gardanibagh but later tried to stage a march to Raj Bhavan to submit a memorandum to the Governor to seek an impartial probe into the Srijan scam but were stopped by police.

The Yuva RJD workers tried break the barricades put by police after which they were lathicharged. A policeman was injured in stone pelting by the RJD workers. But, City SP, Central, denied lathicharge on the RJD workers or use of water canons against them. No RJD worker was arrested either, he said.

Incidentally, Bihar Governor Satya Pal Malik is in Delhi attending the two-day conference of the Governors which started on October 12. The Governor had left for Delhi on October 11 itself. The CBI is probing the Srijan scam following recommendation from Bihar government.
