Ara : A was killed and another seriously injured when a speeding truck collided head-on with their motorcycle near Dhobigahtawa Sun temple under Nawada police station, Ara, in Bhojpur district, on July 30, 2019, late evening.
Police brought the body over to Ara Sadar Hospital while the injured was admitted to a private clinic. The deceased was identified as Raj Kamal alias Shashi, son of a Desi Chikitsak Mohan Kumar Akela, of Dulhinganj village under Jagdishpur police station in Bhojpur district. The injured was identified as Mukesh Kumar.
SHO, Nawada police station, said that Raj Kamal was a student and lived at a rented house at Dhoghatwa and his father is a Desi Chikitsak at Karnamepur Bazaar under Shahpur police station in Bhojpur district. He said that he along with his friend Mukesh Kumar had gone Patna on July 30 morning by his motorcycle. Returning in the evening, when they reached near Dhobhighatwa Sun temple under Nawada police station, a speeding truck collided head on with his bike killing Raj Kamal on spot and injuring Mukesh Kumar. The truck driver escaped with the truck after the accident.
