Ara : One person was killed while five other including two girl students were injured in two separate incidents at two different places in Bhojpur district on November 14, 2017. Police brought the body to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem and admitted the injured there.
SHO, Sahar police station, said that three motorcycle borne students were trapped between a bus from Ara to Arwal and an Ara bound truck from Arwal when they, in their bid to overtake, collided with the bus near Sahar block in which Pankaj Kumar, 16, son of Bhola Sah of village Khaira under Sahar police station, was killed on the spot while the pillion riders Dharmendra Chaudhary, son of Janak Chaudhary, and Anil Kumar, son of Heera Lal Sah, were injured. The bus also collided head on with the truck and overturned on the road. All the three students were returning from Arwal after taking tuition.
In another incident, a youth Rakesk Kumar and two school going girl students were injured near Gandhi Nagar colony under Nawada police station, Ara, on November 14, in an accident. Police admitted the injured to Ara Sadar Hospital but the doctor referred the youth to PMCH in precarious condition.
SHO, Nawada Police Station, Subodh Kumar, said that Rakesh Kumar of Anaith locality was coming from Katira on his motorcycle and when he reached near Gandhi Nagar locality he dashed two school going girlsĀ  Priya Kumari and Nikki Kumari, daughters of Mahendra Singh of village Khaira under Sahar police station, and injured them. Later, he lost control over his motorcycle and fell on the ground and hurt himself too. Police admitted them to Ara Sadar Hospital. The doctors at the hospital referred Rakesh Kumar to PMCH. The injured girls were going to their coaching classes.
