Ara : A mother of two children was stabbed to death at village Sahar under Sahar police station in Bhojpur district on September 22, 2018, late evening.

Police brought the body over to Sadar Hospital, Ara, for postmortem. A named FIR has been lodged with Sahar police station but no arrest has so far been made in this connection. Family dispute is said to be the reason behind the incident.

Station House Officer (SHO), Sahar police station, said that Md Sohail entered his house in a drunken state and soon got involved in a quarrel with his elder brother Md Sarwar Mansoori at village Sahar on September 22, 2018. Shohail tried to kill his brother and when his sister-in-law (bhabhi) came to the rescue her husband, he stabbed and injured her and escaped, the SHO said. The family members rushed her to the Sadar Hospital but she succumbed to her injuries on way to the hospital.

Kamroon Khatoon, mother-in-law of the deceased, said that Md Sohail often quarrels with family members in drunken state and on September 22 evening he quarreled with his elder brother and stabbed to death his sister-in-law (bhabhi).
