Woman killed in accident at Ara

Ara : A woman Leelawati Devi was killed while another person injured when a speeding truck dashed their motorcycle from behind in Dhanupura locality under Town police station, Ara, late on June 8, 2017, evening. The woman was returning after solemnizing the marriage of her daughter at Belaur Sun Temple under Udwantnagar police station in Bhojpur district. Police brought the body to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem and admitted the injured there.

Leelawati Devi of Sadisopur in Patna district had gone to Belaur under Udwantnagar police station to solemnize the marriage of her daughter at the Sun Temple there on June 8. After the marriage, she was retuning to Sadisopur with her relative on a motorcycle. When their motorcycle reached near Reliance Petrol Pump in Dhanupura locality under Town police station on Ara-Patna main road in the late evening, a speeding truck dashed their motorcycle from behind killing the woman on the spot. Driver of the truck escaped with the vehicle.
