Ara: A married woman was killed in Gausganj-Satpahari area under Town police station ion Friday evening allegedly for not begetting a child. A named FIR has been lodged with Town police station against her in-laws and husband Aditya Prasad Singh in this connection. SHO, Town police station, said that Reeta Devi, daughter of Lalan Singh of village Badaka Lauhar under Barhara police station, was married to Aditya Prasad Singh, son of Ram Binay Singh, of village Ganghar under Krishnagarha police station on February 6, 2007. But, she could not beget a child even after nine years of marriage and so her in-laws allegedly used to torture her and finally killed her. Her in-laws lived in Gausganj-Satpahari locality under Town police station, Ara, while her father lives in Dhanbad in Jharkhand. Later, police brought the body to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem.
