Woman killed, 2 persons injured in Bhojpur accident

Ara : A married woman was killed while two youths were injured when a speeding vehicle knocked them down near Sinha police station in Bhojpur District on December 7, 2019, evening.

Police brought the body over to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem and admitted the injured there. The deceased was identified as Lal Muni Devi, 55, wife of late Laxman Turaha of village Maraha  under Sinha police station while the injured were identified as Golu Kumar and Santosh Kumar of the same village. The locals damaged the vehicle and also thrashed its  driver Md Azad and injured him.

SHO, Sinha police station, said that Lal Muni Devi was going to Sinha Bazaar on December 7 evening when a speeding Scorpio coming from opposite direction knocked her down killing her on the spot. The vehicle also knocked down Santosh Kumar and Golu Kumar injuring them. The driver of the vehicle Md Azad tried to escape from the spot but the locals pelted stones and damaged the vehicle and also caught the driver and thrashed him.
