Bettiah : A police team headed by SDPO, Bettiah, Pankaj Kumar Rawat and comprising SHO, Shrinagar, Shahid Ansari, Police Inspector Naresh Paswan, on July 14, 2018, night, carried out raids at different places and recovered a stolen truck and a motorbike and arrested four vehicle lifters.
The arrested vehicle lifters were identified as Rambabu Chaudhary and Pramod Chaudhary of village Pujahatand under Shringar police station, Mohammad Qaisa alias Javed and Mohammad Ranjan of Mansa tola under Bettiah Mufassil.
The raids were conducted following directive from SP, West Champaran, Jayantkant. The SP said that the vehicle lifters had also prepared fake vehicle registration papers and selling the stolen vehicles on the basis of fake papers.
