Bettiah ( West Champaran): An NDRF team, after hectic search for 48 hours, recovered the body of SSB Jawan Mohammad Asalam from hilly river Harha on September 9, 2021. He went missing on September 7, 2021, under mysterious circumstance while on patrol with 6 other jawans in Gobrahiya-Don area on Bihar-Uttar Pradesh border under Bagaha Sub-Division in West Champaran District in North Bihar.
SDPO, Bagaha, Arjun Lal, said that SSB Jawan Mohammad Asalam was on patrol on foot in the area with 6 other jawans on September 7, 2021, and he was behind another jawan. It is suspected that he slipped into the river, sad the SDPO.
Pankaj Dangwal, Commandant, SSB 56 Battalion, said that Mohammad Asalam was a native of Rajauri in Jammu & Kashmir UT and after autopsy the body was sent to his home.
