W Champaran DM reviews progress PM Awas Yojna houses

Bettiah : West Champaran DM Nilesh Ramchandra Deore on November 9, 2017, warned of action against all the officials concerned including Block Development Officers (BDOs) and Awas Assistants if construction of all the houses under PM Awas Yojna with toilets are not completed within two months in the district.

Reviewing the progress of the scheme in the district, DM Deore said that slackness on the part of the officials concerned will not be tolerated at all. All the BDOs, Awas Assistants and DDC, West Champaran ,Yogendra Singh, Director Tariq Akbar, Programme Officer, an Assistant Collector (trainee) Lokesh Mishra and other officials were present at the meeting.

The DM said that construction of 55,000 toilets under Swachh Bharat Mission had been completed in the district. A Unicef representative Shashi Bhusan Kumar exhorted all the officials present on occasion to play a proactive role in the implementation of Swachh Bharat Mission so that West Champaran district could declared ODF in very short period. He said that a state level  training workshop would be organised at  Bettiah to create awareness about Swachhata programme among people.,
