Bagaha SDM initiates probe into release of two sand laden tractors

Bagaha : SDM, Bagaha, Ghanshyam Meena, has initiated a probe into the release of  two seized tractor trollies  bearing UP registration number laden with sand at village Shripatinagar in Semara-Labdeha  panchayat under Piparasi Circle by Circle Officer, Piparasi, Shri Bhaskar, allegedly for monetary consideration on November 9, 2017, morning.

Accroding to a report reaching here, Piparasi Circle officer Shri Bhaskar accompanied by Anchal Guards and Piparasi Pramukh’s son Mukesh Lal Srivastava had gone to Shripatinagar village in Semara-Labdeha  panchayat in West Champaran to check illegal sand mining at 5.30 am on November 9 and seized two tractor trollies bearing UP registration number laden with sand but allegedly released them for monetary consideration. The incident went viral and the SDM was also informed about it after which he initiated a probe into the matter.

Sources said that illegal sand mining is rampant  particularly during night in the area and being transported to UP allegedly in connivance with few police and revenue officials.
