Villagers foil rape bid in Buxar

Buxar  : A case of an alleged rape bid has come to light at village Rewatia under Nawanagar police station in Buxar district. A named FIR was lodged with Nawanagar police on May 18, 2017, evening against Dhirendra Choubey, son of Lalan Choubey, of the same village in this regard.

SHO, Nawanagar police station, Rajeev Ranjan said that the girl was returning to her residence from market. On way, Dhirendra Choubey forcibly dragged her to a bush and tried to outrage her modesty. When she raised an alarm, he beat her. Hearing her cry, some villagers reached there. Seeing the villagers, Dhirendra Choubey escaped from the scene.
