Buxar : A named FIR was lodged with Buxar Town police station against Gopal Ojha, a retired police Sub-Inspector (SI)  of village Devkuli under Brahmpur police station in Buxar district on May 18, 2017,  for allegedly threatening all the three members of the Child Welfare Committee (CWC), Ramesh Chand Pandey, chairman, Binod Singh and Pratima Singh, both members, with dire consequences.

Ramesh Chand Pandey, chairman, CWC, Buxar, said that Gopla Ojha called all the three members one by one and threatened them with dire consequence. He said Namita Ojha, wife of Sanjay Ojha, had complained that her father-in-law Gopal Ojha dragged them out and kept her son Sushant and daughter Shruti with him. With the help of Brahmpur police station, the CWC succeeded in getting them children from the clutches of their grandfather. After legal advice, Shruti was handed over to her mother on May 16, 2017, while Sushant is still with the CWC. Upset over it, Gopal Ojha threatened him and other members of the CWC on May 17, 2017.
