Bhabhua : Sleuths of State Vigilance Investigation Bureau from Patna arrested an Assitant Sub-Inspector of Police (ASI) posted at Mohania police station in Kaimur district red handed while accepting Rs. 10,000 as bribe on September 1, 2018, and took him to Patna for production before court.

DSP, Vigilance Bureau, Gopal Paswan, said that a BMP personnel Motilal Gupta of village Tekari Kal under Mohania police station had complained that the government had given him a piece of land and he has red card but some influential person of the village tried to capture the land and when lodged an FIR with Mohania police station the Investigating Officer (IO) of case ASI Rashid Khan alias Alam Khan demanded Rs 10,000 for doing him a favour.

On his complaint, an eight- member Vigilance Bureau team led by the DSP laid a trap and caught the ASI red handed while taking Rs. 10,000 from Motilal Gupta at his rented residence in Shivpuri locality of the district headquarters. The ASI lived at a rented house of Daroga Rai at Shivpuri in Bhabhua.
